Teignmouth Folk Festival is a weekend of dance and music in the Triangle and around the town. It's our 25th anniversary festival in 2025!

The festival will take place from Friday 20th June to Sunday 22nd June 2025.

The Rosie Hood Band will open the festival weekend with a concert on Friday evening. The band features four amazing musicians, and Rosie has 'a magical voice, an awareness of her roots, a sense of fun on stage, and of course, makes the most marvellous music " - RnR Magazine

On Saturday and Sunday the town will be filled with live music and dance, and this year we have 30 Morris and traditional dance sides joining us. Teignmouth Youth Choir will be singing folk songs and shanties in the afternoon and The Dillyboys will bring festival Saturday in the town centre to a close with their 'lively, rambunctious' performance, followed by the dance finale of Morris and traditional dancers.

On Saturday evening, join us for a concert with festival favourites, Nancy Kerr and James Fagan, who are celebrating their 30th anniversary as a duo this year. They are also running a singing workshop on Sunday morning.

On Sunday, Devon based Rypen will be performing. Rypen are Louis Bingham, Gris Sanderson and James Dumbleton, creating beautiful song and dance music for Sunday afternoon. We are also delighted to welcome the future of folk music, The Devon Youth Folk Ensemble, and the Out of Tunas shanty group who are certain to get the audience singing along.

We are excited to welcome The Lost Sound - Dartmoor Folk Choir, who have been described as a 'compelling and powerful folk choir' (Sidmouth Folk Week). They are performing on Sunday afternoon at St James Church, Teignmouth.

Finish the weekend off with a family friendly, fun ceilidh, with Devon Folk Orchestra and caller, Jon Dyer. The ceilidh will take place in the neighbouring town of Dawlish.

Over the weekend we have sessions and workshops (including a free workshop for young people run by Devon Youth Folk Ensemble).

Please support us to make 2025 a fabulous festival.

Tickets for individual concerts are available on the Artist Lineup page, but we are also selling weekend tickets which will allow entry to all three concerts (The Rosie Hood Band, Nancy Kerr and James Fagan and The Lost Sound) and a weekend ticket which also includes a workshop with Nancy Kerr and James Fagan. See the Tickets page for more info on weekend tickets.

If you can, please follow our social media pages where more details will be available on the Teignmouth Folk Festival’s Facebook Page.

Please also join the Teignmouth Folk Festival Facebook Group Page.

We are a not-for-profit festival which is run entirely by a group of volunteers. We rely on donations from the general public, from local businesses, and from support and grants from our town and district council.

We are grateful for any support we receive and welcome your involvement in the festival. Whether this is as a member of the audience (please donate if you can), as a volunteer (more information on stewarding on the 'About' page), or as a business or organisation. We would not be able to run the festival without you.

Thank you from the Teignmouth Folk Festival committee.
